Guillaume Perret - Jazz ā Vienne
Guillaume Perret Guillaume Perret, saxophone, machines The saxophonist from Annecy (born in 1980) racked up the pressure on the contemporary jazz scene (from 2009) with his group The Electric Epic. Three years later and John Zorn himself described it as 'a whirlwind of emotion' and released the extravert, panoramic and electric fusion on his Tzadik record label. It was an explosion of sound with funky beats and quirky harmonies blending metal, electro, Africa, psychedelia and the hot wind of free style. After two incredible albums with Electric Epic, Guillaume Perret is going it alone with his new album Free (2016). Perret's sense of solitude is comparable to Deleuze's opening to Mille Plateaux: 'Since there were many of all of us, there were already too many people.' You can spot the almost symphonic ramped-up saxophone and the deafening rhythmic loops that make Guillaume Perret multiple, all-encompassing and so spectacular. Recorded on 2017, July 13th at the Jazz Festival in Vienne TV Director, Nicolas Micha .

Avishai Cohen quartet - D'jazz Nevers
Avishai Cohen quartet @ D'Jazz Nevers Avishai Cohen, trumpet Yonathan Avisahi, piano Yoni Zelnik, bass Jonathan Black, drums Dream Like a child, Into the Silence Quiescence Behind the broken glass Bill Evans has two incarnations, as a pianist and a saxophonist. So has Avishai Cohen, a bass player and, tonight, a trumpeter. His musical friendships are long standing. For a decade now, he has been playing with pianist Yonathan Avishai, and hooked up with Nasheet Waits as soon as he arrived in New York from Israel in the 90's. His beard may be on the wild side, but his sound on the trumpet is one of the purest you can hear today. His first album for ECM, 'Into the Silence', was composed six months after Cohen's father died. 'Into the Silence' is about absence, a pregnant silence, deeply intimate, which does not preclude a sense of revolt, rich with vital energy. On four consecutive years, Cohen was voted 'Rising Star' in the 'trumpeter' category by DownBeat, the reference American jazz magazine. An absolute must. Recorded on November 11th at the festival D'Jazz Nevers (Nevers, France) - (Maison de la Culture, Philippe Genty hall) TV Director, Samuel Thiebaut.

Edmar Castadena - Festival International de Jazz de
Edmar Castadena at the International Jazz Festival of Montréal 2016 As an out-of-the-ordinary harpist, and one of the most creative musicians of the Big Apple, Edmar Castadena possesses the polyvalence and the enchanting charisma to draw his instrument into the light, which is pretty rare in the world of jazz and improvised music. Performing on the most prestigious stages of the world, Edmar Castadena 's body and his Colombian harp seems to make only one, shaping incredible detailed rhythm by unheard nuances, thus rivaling with the greatest flamenco guitarists. Edmar Castadena's last album 'Double Portion' (with Miguel Zenon, the cuban pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaban and the mandolinist Hamilton de Holanda) draws the fans and critics' attention, Recorded on June 30th at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Montréal TV direction by Mathieu Mastin .

Youn
Youn Sun Nah, Festival International de Jazz de Montréal youn Sun Nah, voice Jamie Saft, piano and keyboards Clifton Hyde, guitar TBC and acoustic bass Dan Rieser, drums YSN was born and raised in Seoul in a family captivated by the voice; her father is a choir conductor and her mother is a musical actress. The year after that, she's invited by the Korean Symphony Orchestra to sing gospels. She makes her first steps on record and on stage. Following that experience, she's noticed and hired in musicals. Her appearances are rewarded and new opportunities lead her to make choices: a career is opening to her but she's not convinced to be on the right track. She finally decides to go back to school to study music and singing. Francophile, amateur of chanson, she settles down in Paris during the fall 1995. She registers at the National Institute of Music in Beauvais, at the Conservatory of Nadia and Lili Boulanger and at the CIM, school of jazz and current music. It is in that school that the epiphany happens. During 6 full seasons, her voice and her personality have impacted and touched the hearts all over the globe. About 500 concerts between 2009 and 2015, most of them sold-out, 3 albums and 2 of them gold records in France and Germany (Same girl & Lento, ACT). Throughout this time she has received many distinctions from her peers (Académie du Jazz in France, Echo Jazz in Germany, Korean Music Award in Korea) and appeared at the 2014 Winter Olympics' closing ceremony. In May 2017, YSN release a new album: She Moves On. She'll be on tour during the whole season of 2017-2018. Recorded on 2017, June 28th at the Monument National, Montreal International Jazz Festival TV Director, Mathieu Mastin .
