Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, Brian Blade Trio, Children of the light - Jazz à Junas
Danilo Perez, john Patitucci, Brian Blade Trio 'Children of the light' Danilo Pérez, piano John Patitucci, double bass Brian Blade, drums What a trio!. These musicians have been the heart of the Wayne Shorter Quartet's formidable rhythm section for the past fifteen years: Danilo Pérez on piano, John Patitucci on bass, Brian Blade on drums. Each is of course a true master in his own right. And their reunion is an amazing gift to jazz lovers. The stylistic unity and level of communication never fail to impress. The three musicians know each other perfectly, as is apparent throughout the album, with a unique sense of narration. Pérez has rarely played so well, while Patitucci and Blade constantly experiment and innovate. Some of their compositions/improvisations can be very dense melodically and harmonically, but they also enjoy the beauty of a simple melody. A treat! Recorded on 2017, July 19th at the 1 Festival Jazz in Junas TV Director, Giuseppe de Vechi .

Éric Legnini Trio - Jazz à la Villette
Éric Legnini Trio Éric Legnini Trio Eric Legnini (piano) Rocky Gresset (guitar) Thomas Bramerie (double bass) A foot-stomping jazz, touched by soul and by funk. Eric Legnini's recording tryptich, begun in 2006 with Miss Soul (then Big Boogaloo and Trippin'), marking the magnificent first steps of a leader for a pianist with a hyper-sophisticated bop language as early as the middle of the 1990's alongside the saxophonist Stefano Di Battista. Since then, the Belgian musician, settled in Paris has led an eclectic career, multiplied collaborations with vocalists (his friend Huge Coltman amngst others) and regularly puts on his producer's hat. In this 2019 season, Eric Legnini is coming back to the trio, but this time without drums : he will be accompanied by the guitarist Rocky Gresset (a reference on the Gypsy jazz scene) and by Thomas Bramerie (long-time touring partner and very probably the most sought after Parisian bass player) with whom he will present a completely new repertoire. Recorded on September 7, 2019 at the Pierre Boulez Hall - Philharmonie, Jazz à la Villette TV Director, Samuel Thibaut.
Christian Sands Trio - Jazz à la Villette
Christian Sands Trio - 'Tribute to Erroll Garner' Christian Sands (piano) Terreon Gully (guitar) Luques Curtis (bass) Whereas he has just released a really great album, Facing Dragons only a few months ago, the pianist Christian Sands is presenting to kick off the season a new repertoire as a tribute to Erroll Garner : one of the most important figures in the history of jazz, he who established the form of the ' piano trio ' in the modern era, only just before Bill Evans. So he is reaching for a very high goal. And you can bet that the challenge will be met with brio, because the young American is one of the most talented pianists of his generation : protégé of the immense late Billy Taylor, taken on by Christian McBride at 20, recognised by Wynton Marsalis who saw in him one of the grate heirs of the tradition, Christian Sands does actually possess an instrumental language which alludes to the whole history of his instrument, but still succeeds in remaining extremely modern. Recorded on Sptember 7, 2019 at the Pierre Boulez Hall - Philharmonie, Jazz à la Villette TV Director, Samuel Thibaut.
